Pai gow poker is a popular variation of poker that can be played on Full Tilt Poker, but it isn’t played against other players, but rather the game is played against the house. There isn’t very much strategy you need to learn in order to become a successful pai gow poker so don’t think that you can’t become a good player if you’re new. The game can be a little intimidating if you’re new, but rest assured you will be able to make some money in this game if you learn the two basic principles.
The first thing you want to do when you play pai gow poker is make sure that you always take the opportunity to become the banker when you can. In order to become the banker you will need to be able to have enough chips on the table to cover everyone other player’s bets. The reason you need to be able to do this is because if you were to lose every hand while you’re the banker you need to be able to pay out the bets of every player. As the banker you will find that you will win more hands then you ever lose though, so make sure that you always take the chance to become the banker.
The second thing you need to do when playing pai gow poker is to be able to split your cards properly so that you have the best chance at winning. To win the hand you need to win both the front and back hand, and if you win only one then the hand is a tie. In order to win both hands you’re going to need to split your cards properly and this doesn’t always mean using common sense. The front hand in pai gow poker is the two card hand and the back hand is the five card hand. In order to win you’re going to need to make sure you put the proper cards in your front hand.
* When you have only a Full Till pair in your hand you should put your two highest singles in the front with the pair and your other three cards in the back.
* When you have two pairs you should generally place the high pair in your back hand and the small pair in your front hand.
* When you have three pairs you should put the highest pair in the front with the other two pairs in the back.
* When you have a Full Tilt full house you should generally split it up so that you have a pair in the front and trips in the back.
* When you have a straight you should keep it in tact unless of course you can have a straight in the front with two pairs or better in the back.
When you’re not sure about whether or not to split your hand up you should always keep the best hand possible in the front so that you can tie the hand at worst. Generally you will be able to tie almost every Full Tillt hand that you play when you’re splitting your cards right. When you know you have no chance of winning both hands make sure that your front hand is premium so that you can get the push.
